Competition regulations

01

Match format

  • Football 7, with seven players including the goalkeeper.
  • A minimum of five players is required to start a match.
  • Unlimited rolling substitutions are permitted.
  • Matches consist of two 25-minute halves.
  • A five-minute half-time interval applies.
  • No offside rule is applied.

League points

  • A win awards three points.
  • A draw awards one point.
  • A loss awards zero points.

Player eligibility

  • All players must be registered before participating.
  • Players may only represent one team during a season.
  • Teams are responsible for ensuring player eligibility.

Equipment

  • Matching team shirts are required.
  • Shin guards are mandatory.
  • Suitable footwear for artificial turf must be worn.

Referees

  • All matches are officiated by league referees.
  • Referee decisions are final.
  • Abuse towards referees may lead to sanctions.

Discipline

  • Yellow cards are recorded throughout the season.
  • Accumulated yellow cards may result in suspension.
  • Direct red cards are reviewed by league management.

Fair play

  • Respect towards opponents, referees and organisers is mandatory.
  • Violent conduct may result in immediate suspension.
  • Seven League may remove teams or players who repeatedly violate fair-play principles.

Fixtures & forfeits

  • Teams are expected to attend all scheduled fixtures.
  • Failure to appear may result in a forfeit defeat.
  • Repeated forfeits may lead to exclusion from the competition.
League authority

Rules adapted for Football 7

Seven League rules are based on internationally recognised football principles and adapted for Football 7 competition. The organisation reserves the right to amend these regulations when necessary to ensure fairness, safety and the proper operation of the competition.
