THE SEVEN LEAGUE GUIDE
THE LEAGUE.EXPLAINED.
A clear guide to joining a team, playing a matchweek and following your season. All the essentials in one place — without duplicating competition dates, venues or pricing.
The format and conditions can vary between competitions. Always check the official rules and your competition page.
01 / HOW THE LEAGUE WORKS
ONE TEAM. A WHOLE SEASON.
Seven League turns weeknight football into an organised competition. Instead of arranging every game yourself, your team plays scheduled fixtures with referees, standings and a digital match record.
CHOOSE YOUR COMPETITION
Compare the locations and formats currently offered. Each competition publishes its own dates, eligibility, team fee and registration status.
ENTER AS A TEAM
A captain or club representative handles the team entry, key communications and the squad. You do not need to be an established football club.
REGISTER YOUR PLAYERS
Players must be on the team roster to take part. Arrange additions before the matchday registration cut-off set by the organiser.
PLAY, TRACK, REPEAT
Play your scheduled matches; results, statistics and individual performances build up across the season in Match Center.
Not part of a team? The Free Agents community helps individual players meet others and look for a squad. Placement is not guaranteed.

03 / YOUR MATCHWEEK
MATCHDAY, WITHOUT THE GUESSWORK.
These are the core operational expectations for Seven League outdoor matches. Competition-specific regulations always take precedence.
FINALISE THE SQUAD
Submit any new-player registrations by the previous day, following the organiser’s roster procedure.
CHECK IN AND PREPARE
Be ready for the pre-match player check. Every team should bring at least one match ball.
BE READY TO PLAY
A team needs at least five eligible players. A five-minute grace period applies under the general matchday guidance.
CONFIRM AND FOLLOW UP
Respect the referee’s decisions during play. Raise questions with the organiser afterwards and follow the published report.
04 / THE DIGITAL SEASON
EVERY MATCH HAS A STORY.
The Match Center is the official place to follow what happens after the final whistle — not just another promotional page.
FIXTURES & MATCHWEEKS
Follow upcoming matches, changes and results organised by matchweek.
STANDINGS & FORM
See how teams are performing across the competition.
PLAYER STATISTICS
Track registered player profiles, goals and other recorded match events.
MVPS & RECOGNITION
Match MVPs, achievements and seasonal awards give individual and team performances visibility.
05 / RESPECT THE GAME
CLEAR RULES. BETTER FOOTBALL.
A structured league works when everyone knows what is expected. Here are the most useful operating principles — the full regulations remain the authority.
REGISTERED PLAYERS ONLY
Players must be eligible and registered for their team. Last-minute additions are not automatically accepted.
RESPECT THE OFFICIALS
Referees oversee the match. Disagreements should be raised after the game, not argued during play.
DISCIPLINE MATTERS
A straight red card or two yellow cards mean a minimum one-match suspension, subject to the disciplinary decision.
POSTPONEMENTS ARE CONTROLLED
Weather or schedule issues must be handled with the organiser. Fixtures are only changed once the change is confirmed.

Straight answers to the practical questions that come up before and during the season.
IS THIS ONLY FOR ESTABLISHED FOOTBALL CLUBS?
No. Groups of friends, amateur teams, companies and community organisations can enter. A team needs someone to act as captain or primary contact.
CAN I PLAY WITHOUT HAVING A TEAM?
Yes, you can join the Free Agents community to meet players and potentially find a team. A place in a league squad is not automatically guaranteed.
HOW MANY PLAYERS DO WE NEED ON MATCHDAY?
Outdoor 7-a-side matches are designed for seven players, including a goalkeeper. The general minimum to begin is five eligible players. Check the official rules for further conditions.
WHEN AND WHERE DO WE PLAY?
Fixtures and venues depend on your competition. Check its page and Match Center for the published schedule; dates can change after organiser confirmation.
WHAT DOES IT COST, AND HOW DO WE PAY?
Fees and instalment arrangements are specific to each competition and are listed on its own page or registration documents. This general guide does not quote a single price for every league.
CAN WE ADD PLAYERS DURING THE SEASON?
Player additions are possible subject to the roster rules and registration deadlines. Notify Seven League by the day before the relevant match, unless your competition specifies otherwise.
WHAT IF WEATHER CAUSES A CANCELLATION?
The organiser communicates postponements and any confirmed replacement fixture to captains. Do not treat a new date as official until it is confirmed.
ARE WINTER AND OUTDOOR MATCH RULES IDENTICAL?
No. The outdoor league is primarily seven-a-side with 25-minute halves. Indoor Winter formats are five-a-side and have their own match duration and wall-based play rules.
HOW DO SUBSTITUTIONS WORK?
Teams may substitute registered players during outdoor matches in accordance with the competition rules and the referee’s directions.
HOW DO WE CONTACT THE ORGANISER?
Use the contact page for general questions, roster issues, official communications or competition interest.
