More than a pre-season tournament
The Seven League Summer Cup is the opening event of the Seven League project in Basel. It brings together amateur teams, groups of friends and company teams for a competitive Football 7 experience before the regular season begins.
The tournament will take place during one Saturday or Sunday afternoon. The final competition structure will be adapted to the number of confirmed registrations so that every team receives a balanced and enjoyable tournament experience.

The final structure will depend on the number of registered teams. The competition is planned around a group stage followed by knockout rounds, with a format designed to keep every match relevant.
Football 7
Seven players per team on the pitch, including the goalkeeper, with rolling substitutions throughout the matches.
Group stage
Teams begin in a group phase before the best-performing sides advance to the knockout stage.
20-minute matches
Short and intense fixtures create a dynamic tournament with limited waiting time between games.
Knockout rounds
The competition concludes with decisive knockout matches, a final and the presentation of the first Summer Cup trophy.

Join the Summer Cup for CHF 300. If your team registers for the Seven League 2026/27 season, the full CHF 300 can be transferred as your league reservation.

How many players can a team register?
Teams may register a flexible squad. Seven players compete on the pitch, including the goalkeeper, with rolling substitutions.
What will the final tournament format be?
The final group and knockout structure will be adapted to the number of confirmed teams and published before the event.
Do we have to join the regular league?
No. Teams may participate only in the Summer Cup. Teams joining Season 26/27 can transfer the full CHF 300 tournament payment to their league reservation.
